Residential Limited Lifetime Warranty
Effective date: June 29, 2026
At Woodpecker Cabinetry, we stand behind the craftsmanship, engineering, and durability of our custom storage systems and built-in furniture. We use only premium-grade materials and industry-leading hardware to ensure your project looks and functions beautifully for years to come.
Below is our detailed Limited Lifetime Warranty, structured in alignment with South Florida residential construction and manufacturing standards.
1. What is Covered (Limited Lifetime Warranty)
This warranty applies strictly to the original purchaser and the original installation site. It is non-transferable upon the sale of the property.
- Cabinet Components & Structure: We warrant all custom-manufactured wood panels, thermofused laminates (TFL), MDF structures, shelves, and doors against manufacturing defects, structural failure, and delamination under normal residential use.
- Hardware and Moving Mechanisms: All functional hardware, including soft-close drawer slides, hinges, hanging rails, and built-in pull-out accessories (e.g., valet rods, tie racks), is covered against mechanical failure for the lifetime of the product.
- Installation Integrity: If your system was installed by our certified team, we warrant the structural installation (secure attachment to walls and alignment) to ensure it remains stable and properly balanced.
2. Weight Limits and Structural Integrity
To maintain the lifetime warranty, the custom systems must not be subjected to loads exceeding industry-standard capacities. Our warranty covers structural integrity up to the following maximum weight distributions:
- Standard Shelving (up to 24 inches wide): Maximum 75 lbs (34 kg) evenly distributed.
- Heavy-Duty & Deep Shelving (24 to 36 inches wide): Maximum 100 lbs (45 kg) evenly distributed.
- Hanging Rods: Maximum 40 lbs (18 kg) per linear foot.
- Drawer Systems: Maximum 75 lbs (34 kg) total capacity per drawer box.
3. Exclusions and Limitations (What is NOT Covered)
Our warranty is designed to cover manufacturing and material defects, not conditions caused by external factors, misuse, or environmental conditions. The following are strictly excluded:
- Normal Wear and Tear: Gradual scuffs, scratches, dents from daily impacts, or chipping due to accidental drops or misuse.
- Water and Moisture Damage: Any swelling, warping, bubbling, or degradation of wood/MDF panels caused by plumbing leaks, standing water, flooding, roof leaks, or A/C condensation.
- Environmental & Climate Factors (Florida Humidity & Sun): Damage resulting from uncontrolled indoor climate (indoor relative humidity levels exceeding 60% or dropping below 35%). Fading, yellowing, or discoloration of wood finishes, lacquers, and laminates caused by prolonged, direct exposure to South Florida UV sunlight is considered normal aging and is not covered.
- Natural Wood & Material Variations: Naturally occurring variations in grain pattern, color, and texture of real wood or leather inserts are unique characteristics and are not considered defects.
- Chemical & Cleaning Damage: Damage caused by the use of abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, bleach, solvents, or improper care of lacquered surfaces and leather elements.
- Alterations & Third-Party Actions: Any damage caused by unapproved modifications, self-installations, structural shifts in the home's walls/floors, or relocation of the furniture by anyone other than Woodpecker Cabinetry.
4. Items with a 1-Year Limited Warranty
Certain integrated components purchased from third-party manufacturers carry a standard 1-Year Warranty from the date of installation:
- Integrated LED Lighting: All LED strips, puck lights, drivers, wiring, transformers, and motion sensors.
- Glass and Mirror Elements: Glass inserts, custom mirror panels, and acrylic decorative pieces (covered against structural loose-fitting, excluding breakage/cracks caused by impact).
- Specialty Insert Liners: Custom leather inserts, velvet jewelry trays, and fabric organizers.
